Cherbourg's unashamedly folktastic brand of folk rock might have you thinking they hail from somewhere rustic and unspoiled – deepest Somerset, perhaps. In fact they're Londoners, and there's a dark, urban edge to their homespun sound. Recent EPs Last Chapter of Dreaming and Into the Dark showcase their knack for down-to-earth instrumentation, soaring melodies and anthemic choruses, leading everyone and his aunt to believe that their first album, when they get round to it, will take the world by storm.
