Soulful, complex and apparently full of secret wisdom, Florence Welch's music is already taking the music world by storm. And what or who is the machine? Well, that's still a bit of a mystery. Comparisons to the likes of Kate Bush, Beth Orton and PJ Harvey are easily made, but Florence and the Machine weaves its own magic, something to do with the metaphor-heavy lyrics, folksy instrumentation and Florence's spellbinding voice. She's already shaping up to be a genuine star in the kooky indie pixie mould.
