When we heard the news that maverick Welshman singer and solo artist Gruff Rhys, of Super Furry Animals asked if he could do a black cab session, it was all whoop whoop in the office. Rhys, who not only recently formed the electro-pop outfit ‘Neon Neon’ with Boom Bipbut has been mercury nominated for his album ‘stainless steel’, has been described as an eclectic mix of both geography teacher and "The biggest array of talent since Woodstock, but in one person".
