New wavers Hockey hail from Portland, Oregon, spiritual home of arty drifers everywhere. Their lo-fi indie pop is building a buzz for its beats, wit and alt-pop influences – and you can dance to it! Comparisons to LCD Soundsystem and the Strokes don't quite hit the mark but what Hockey have in common with those bands is that music geeks, girls next door and perhaps even your dad are all going to fall in love with their songs. Debut album Mind Chaos is due out in late August, and you can see them this summer at Bestival and T in the Park.
