Artist Profile

The history of Let’s Buy Happiness looks like this: a younger brother and an older sister fight, bicker and scrap for most of their life. Then, the younger brother forms band. At first, everything’s okay, but it lacks something i.e. someone with some sass to front it. Struggling to find a solution, the least plausible becomes the most feasible, and thus the younger brother asks hated older sister to step in. Complex, isn’t it? Luckily the results are astounding, as fans at last year’s Evolution and The Great Escape will attest. And while no one knows whether or not Sarah and James Hall have buried the hatchet, their quintet’s mixture of tropicalia, folk, indie and blithe vocals (courtesy of Sarah) provide distraction enough. Let’s just hope they don’t fall out at their follow up performance at The Great Escape this summer.
