Artist Profile

Lu Lu & The Lampshades started life in 2009 as a funny idea between two London hipsters, Heloise and Louisa. After the dust settled, they wrote a song about it on their laptop, claiming that they’d been playing “air-glockenspiel” to all their “fans”. From there, things have snowballed into a strange musical world populated by a capellas, skiffle obsessions and two other members (who can actually play real instruments to real fans). And if one needed further proof of their abundant charm, then you should direct your attention to Youtube (where their first single, ‘You’re Gonna Miss Me’ went viral after a few days) or to The Camden Crawl (where they’ll be playing one of the local watering holes).
