He's classically trained but spends his time listening to Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Destiny's Child. Time spent busking in Brooklyn, Central Park and the L train got him noticed and soon he was playing for the likes of Grizzly Bear, Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson, Bat For Lashes and Holly Miranda. Here, at the Secret Garden, he bounded up to us, full of enthusiasm and ready to jump in and play his signature mix of classically honed soul and RnB. We'd heard rumours, but we had no idea it would be this good.
