The devil probably got his woman, but husky voiced bluesman Pete Lawrie has kept his soul. Years of partying, recording and… well, even more partying and recording have yielded several collections of home taped troubadour-ing and now the forthcoming EP, All That We Keep - a kind of brief tribute to the people he’s known and lost over the years. Having grown up around music (he was born on Penny Lane to two musicians, and his granddad even played trumpet on ‘Strawberry Fields’), Pete has also lived everywhere, and you can feel these influences in his songs and lyrics; a kind of world-weary, world wise philosopher of the road, with warmth, heart and bucolic guitar strumming that’ll leave you breathless.
Having spent much of his time focussed on grassroots touring, Pete Lawrie is now positioned to begin his mainstream assault.
