Twenty-seven year-old North Londoner Remi Nicole is the type of sparkling songstress that’ll steal your heart and still make you want to come back for a second helping of heart break. This year sees the release of her second album, Shoot Me Cupid, or “Grease 3” as she calls it, because every track (with a musical palette ranging from do-wop to rockabilly) wouldn’t sound out of place at an all-American prom night. It also features the vocal talents of grime star Wiley and hip legend Plug One from De La Soul. You might have also seen Remi presenting T4’s Freshly Squeezed and acting in the BBC sci-fi comedy, Hyperdrive, but make no mistake, her singing is a hard act to follow.
