Every year, Camp Bestival gets a little bit older, a little bit bigger and little bit more a little bit more prestigious. Why? Well, for starters they only went won the ‘Best Family Festival’ gong at the UK Festival Awards this year, which just goes to prove that it’s one of the finest family-orientated weekenders this side of Butlins. And let’s face it, the Redcoats aren’t going to be able to provide you with entertainment in the region of Othello Woolf, George Clinton, The Fall and Friendly Fires a la Camp Bestival 2010, now are they? Don’t worry if you’re not married and the idea of having kids fills you with fear and dread, mind, because there are plenty of non-familial treats like boutiques stalls and comedy tents to keep you occupied.

Insider Tip: Unlike other festivals, Camp has its very own unofficial online bookmaker, who’s currently tipping the headliners as The Specials at 2/1 and Portishead at 3/1. Just don’t mention anything to the police about it.
