Hold the press: Officials at the United Republic of Glastonbury Oblast have refused to divulge any line up details until sometime next spring, so if you’re one of the lucky ones that managed to register for a ticket when the process opened in October, then you’ll have to wait and see what crops up. If, however, you’re part of the large majority of people that failed to get a pass, then don’t lose hope yet because there will be another wave of tickets released in April. Just don’t expect to get one without sacrificing a limb… At any rate, to give you a taste of the type of quality that could be in store, last year Marina and the Diamonds, Julian Casablancas, Editors, The xx, Mumford & Sons, Stevie Wonder and I Blame Coco all wowed audiences at was what reportedly one of the festival’s best-ever years weather wise.

Insider Tip: Currently, knitting circles in the UK are dropping far too many stitches whilst chatting up news that Irish rockers U2 might put in a Glasto performance next year, having missed out in 2010. Other rumours that Timmy Mallet might play the Pyramid Stage at lunchtime on Saturday remain unconfirmed.
