Green Man Festival, Brecon Beacons, Wales, 19th-21st August, 2011
Last summer, there was more than a bit of revelry in the campsite as a number of musicians turned up and provided an impromptu sing-along amongst the tents and bonfires. No one can quite remember who was actually there, but maybe this year Dame Shirley Bassey will follow suit, so here’s hoping. Either way, it looks like this Welsh festival will probably be every bit as brilliant. Previous form has seen The Flaming Lips, Doves, Beirut, Laura Marling, Mumford and Sons and O. Children topping bills, so if you fancy chilling out next door to the beautiful Sugar Loaf Mountain, you could do worse.
Insider Tip: This festival is so hip and out there that the gossips haven’t even started chin-wagging yet, but fans have been begging the organisers for the return of repeat Green Man offender, Iron and Wine.
