Smack bang in the middle of summer, Lovebox acts as an oasis of musical delight to wash away the sun baked boredom of doing nothing in your spare time other than lying in the sun and popping to the pub. And with line-ups rivalling the headline spots of any of the other major shindigs (but with the added bonus of the site being a tenth of the size), music lovers have never had it so good. Last year Roxy Music, Grace Jones, Rox, the Noisettes, The Maccabees, Mark Ronson, I Blame Coco, Toro Y Moi, Paloma Faith, Peaches, New Young Pony Club and Chromeo tore the proverbial roof down. (There wasn’t a roof because it’s an outdoor festival, but you get the idea).
