The Garden Festival, Petrcane, Croatia, 6th-13th July, 2011
Legend has it that in 2007, a hotel owner approached the organisers of a successful local club night in the idyllic shoreline location of Croatia’s Petrcane to see if they’d like to throw some parties in an un-used event space he owned nearby. Of course, the answer was yes, and after several years of promoting the festival exclusively by word of mouth, The Garden Festival reputation has caught on like wild fire. Today, it’s the sister event of the ever popular, Electric Elephant, which takes place in the same venue the following weekend. And much like EE, Garden Festival offers the same mixture of bands, DJs, all-night raves and boat parties, except it’s lasts over a week, so get your beauty sleep in now.

Insider Tip: As mentioned elsewhere, Electric Elephant and The Garden Festival have teamed up to offer you tickets to both for only £140. Unlike Electric Elephant, however, there are only 2,500 tickets available for The Garden Party, so now’s the time to move.
